The London Homelessness Awards 2024

Applications now Closed

Who can enter?

The judges are looking for projects that can show they directly improve the lives – and life chances – of those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. It doesn’t matter if the project has been running for one year or is much more established. It doesn’t matter if the team is employed or uses volunteers or whether it is run by a charity, local authority, or other type of ‘not for profit’ agency. The Awards celebrate organisations in London who focus on the homeless and the judging panel wants to hear about all types of services, ideas and initiatives that can demonstrate how homelessness can be reduced.

Conditions of Entry

The judges will base their initial assessment on your application form alone so supporting documentation is not required.

Only projects that have been running for a minimum of 12 months and can support their entry with information and statistics are eligible to enter

It is a condition of entry that prize money must be used to enhance the services of the project, or to develop a new service for the project. This may include extending your project to cover other parts of London or improving your services to homeless people.

If you are shortlisted for the awards, the judges will wish to visit the project and normally speak to service users and staff. A suitable date will be arranged for the visit during which judges will want to have reasonable access to relevant individuals. You will not be required to provide access to any data or records.
