Who Can Enter The Awards?
You can enter the London Homelessness Awards and win part of the £60,000 prize fund.
The London Homelessness Awards are open to not-for-profit organisations based in London working in the field of homelessness including charities, registered social landlords, council departments, NHS and health related organisations, voluntary and statutory organisations or a partnership of these agencies.
The judges will look for evidence of work that:
- takes an innovative or unique approach
- can be replicated in other parts of London
- improves services to homeless people or those at risk of becoming homeless
- prevents homelessness
- tackles disadvantage caused by homelessness
The judges will base their initial assessment on your application form alone so supporting documentation is not required.
Only projects that have been running for a minimum of 6-12 months and can support their entry with information and statistics are eligible to enter.
It is a condition of entry that prize money must be used to enhance the services of the project, or to develop a new service for the project. This may include extending your project to cover other parts of London or improving your services to homeless people.
If you are shortlisted for the awards, the judges will wish to visit the project and normally speak to service users and staff (subject to all relevant public health advice at the time). A suitable date will be arranged for the visit during which judges will want to have reasonable access to relevant individuals. You will not be required to provide access to any data or records.
